How might we increase efficiency of picking yet increase the perfect order rate?
01 Define problems and discover opportunities
As a team, we've identified critical problem areas and opportunities aligned with our major KPIs: efficiency, perfect order rate, and CSAT. My role encompassed designing solutions across key domains: For Efficiency Improvement topic, I have 1) developed a lighting solution featuring digital price tags to significantly reduce the time required to locate products on shelves, 2) created a picking route creator and simulator empowering store personnel to generate automated, optimized routes based on their expertise and customer considerations, 3) conducted an experiment with a product list view to enable experienced store personnel to efficiently manage and pick more products. For Perfect Order Rate Enhancement, I have 1) designed big order notifications to preemptively alert stores of potential product shortages during high-demand periods, ensuring timely stock replenishment. For CSAT Improvement, I have 1) designed that ensure minimum expiry dates for perishable items like fruits, vegetables, meat, and fish to enhance product freshness and customer satisfaction, 2) resolved issues related to missing deliveries of frozen products between storage and last-mile delivery, ensuring seamless customer experiences.
