Improving the brand identity of Eficode Root

Background
Eficode Root had first version of branding. It covers brand logo, service logos, colors, typography, buttons, icons, and simple illustrations as a foundation. The company wants to improve visual designs and give story telling to brand, and extend marketing materials to promote the brands in multiple channels.
My role
I have worked on improving brand direction & producing marketing materials. I focused on bringing more story to visual identities such as logos, graphical patterns, a mascot, and illustrations. I created brochures, stickers, t-shirts, roll-up, and banners for webinars, and Instagram based on the improved brand identity.

How to bring more story into Eficode Root brand?

Defining what meaning and story to bring

The previous logo has 'Eficode ROOT' text as a logo only. It has missed any meaning or story behind it. Thus I have combined the shape of dash '/' which is often used in dev and the 'R' of Root. Moreover, I have created a mascot for the brand and its story with the whole team. The metaphor of mascot comes from 'Whack-a-Mole' favoured by developers. The name of the mascot is 'Efimo'. It loves to find code smell, eat bugs, and repair weak parts in the pipeline of the cloud world. Efimo is a helpful, proactive, friendly mascot who serves the DevOps team for the best practices.

Creating materials for online marketing

Based on renewed brand identity, I have created online marketing materials such as webinar images and an icon set used in the website.
